# LEX

> Wolters Kluwer Polska's flagship legal-research database: komentarze, orzecznictwo, ustawy. One of the two dominant Polish SIPs.

**LEX** is Wolters Kluwer Polska's flagship legal-information system, one of the two dominant SIPs (Systemy Informacji Prawnej) on the Polish market, alongside Legalis (C.H.Beck).

Alongside these, Wolters Kluwer Polska publishes specialist modules, among them Zamówienia Publiczne, Prawo Europejskie, Budownictwo, Ochrona Środowiska, Ochrona Zdrowia, Bankowe, Finanse, Księgowość, Kadry, BHP and Windykacja, and role-specific products such as LEX Notariusz, LEX Dział Prawny, LEX dla Sędziego/Prokuratora and LEX do Egzaminu. Which of them you have depends on your firm's LEX subscription.

**Practice areas covered well:** civil and procedure, criminal and procedure, administrative, commercial/corporate (KSH), tax, labour (HR/kadry), public procurement, construction, healthcare, banking, finance.

## Market context

LEX and **Legalis** (C.H.Beck) are the two main competing SIPs. LEX is generally seen as the trend-setter on functionality and UX and as holding the larger jurisprudence collection. Commentary content differs materially between the two: LEX hosts Wolters Kluwer authors; Legalis hosts Beck authors. Larger firms often subscribe to both for full doctrinal coverage.

## Setup

LEX is an **Add-on** source: it needs an active LEX subscription with Wolters Kluwer Polska. Once your firm has one, open **Settings → Integrations**, click the **LEX** row (*Polish legal research*), then **Connect** and sign in with your Wolters Kluwer account.
