> What's new in Libra: releases, features, improvements.

Stay up to date with the latest Libra improvements, new features, and announcements.

<Update label="Release: 7 August 2026">
  **New.**

  1. **Databases: document sets that live above your projects.** A **database** is a set of documents you assemble once and reuse in any matter, rather than re-uploading the same files project after project. **Databases** now appears in the global part of the sidebar, beside **Home** and **Templates**. Databases are part of the **Team** plan and are switched on per team, so they may not appear for everyone at once. [What a database is](/en/features/databases/basics).
     1. **Two kinds** — a **Libra database** holds files you upload into Libra; a **SharePoint database** leaves the files where they are and keeps a linked SharePoint folder in sync. [SharePoint](/en/integrations/sharepoint).
     2. **Fill it from anywhere** — upload files or whole folders, or pull in documents already sitting in a project's **Project files**; those are linked rather than copied, so there is only ever one copy.
     3. **Use it in Chat, Review and Discovery** — attach a database from **Tools → Search files** or `@`-mention it in a chat, run a Playbook against its documents, or extract the same columns across all of them in a Discovery.
  2. **The Outlook add-in stays with you while you write.** Libra used to disappear the moment you hit **Reply**. The panel now also runs while you compose — a new mail, **Reply**, **Reply All**, **Forward**, or a draft you reopen — and the conversation you were having in the reading pane carries across. [Outlook add-in](/en/integrations/outlook/setup). The compose panel arrives with version **1.0.0.2** of the add-in; if Libra doesn't appear when you start a reply, your Microsoft 365 administrator still has to deploy the current manifest.
     1. **Ask Libra to edit the draft you are writing** — describe the change and Libra rewrites the reply in place, in the message you already have open, instead of producing a separate draft for you to copy from.
     2. **See what changed before you keep it** — the redraft arrives as an insight card showing the difference, with **Apply** and **Undo**, matching the way the Word add-in presents a rewrite.
     3. **Reply actions wait for the answer** — in the reading pane the reply buttons are disabled while a response is still streaming, so the panel can't be closed mid-save.

  **Improved.**

  3. **A redesigned project switcher.** The project switcher in the sidebar now opens a full-height sidesheet that slides out beside it, instead of a small floating list. [Projects](/en/features/projects).
     1. **Cards instead of flat rows** — each project shows its icon, an access label such as **Just me** or **View only**, its practice-area and tag pills, its counts and when it was last updated, with the project you are in marked **ACTIVE**.
     2. **Narrow the list** — filter by practice area or tag from the header, which also holds **New project** and **Browse all**.
     3. **The same switcher in Word and Outlook** — both add-ins now use the same project panel to switch matters, read-only; creating and editing projects stays in the web app.
     4. **No more Archived tab** — the switcher lists your live projects only. Archived projects remain reachable from [Home](/en/features/home).
  4. **Project files, with a folder for chat uploads.** The panel listing a project's files is now called **Project files**, and a file you attach in a chat collects in a **Chat uploads** folder beside **Reviews** and **Discoveries** rather than landing loose among the documents you filed deliberately. Documents in it behave like any other — move, delete, preview, add to a chat. [Project files](/en/features/documents/library).
  5. **Web search for Polish teams, no Wolters Kluwer subscription needed.** Poland joins Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, the Netherlands, Belgium, Czechia and Slovakia, where web search is available in Research mode without a connected Wolters Kluwer product. Romania still requires one. [Research mode](/en/features/chat/research-mode).
  6. **A chat beside the Playbook editor.** The floating chat panel that Review and Discovery runs already have now opens on the Playbook editor too, so you no longer have to leave the editor to have Libra add a topic or fix a rule. [Create a Playbook](/en/features/review/templates).
     1. **The open Playbook is already attached** — it arrives as a chip, and Libra edits the language version whose tab you are looking at rather than falling back to another one.
     2. **Edits land in the form in front of you** — a clean form reloads with the change; if you have unsaved edits, Libra asks first. A save that would overwrite a change the chat has already made is refused instead of silently applied.
     3. **Open a Playbook from its preview** — the preview window gains an **Open Playbook** button.
  7. **The German Academy re-launch.** For German teams, the **Guides & Support** cards in the [template library](/en/features/templates/about) now open the lessons of the remade *Erste Schritte* course, and two entries in the notification bell's **Updates** tab announce the re-launch and the new course. Teams elsewhere keep their existing help-centre links.
  8. **A ceiling on very large spreadsheets.** An **.xlsx** workbook over 13,000 rows or a million cells is now turned away during processing instead of being ingested. Smaller workbooks behave exactly as before, and CSV files are unaffected. [File types & previews](/en/features/documents/file-types).

  **Fixed.**

  9. **Diagrams with multi-line labels now survive export.** A chat answer containing a flowchart whose boxes use line breaks exported to Word or PDF with *Diagram could not be rendered* in its place; the diagram now appears as an image, as the rest already did. [Citations & sources](/en/features/chat/citations).
  10. **Libra's own Playbooks work from chat.** Three follow-ups to the Review-from-chat release. [Reviews from chat](/en/features/review/from-chat).
      1. **Public Playbooks are offered again** — a Playbook from the **Libra** tab was not suggested when Libra looked for something to review against, could not be attached through the `@` menu, and failed with a malfunction message if you reached it another way. It now resolves like any other Playbook, and view-only Playbooks can be attached and read from chat as well.
      2. **Answer a question in the message box** — when Libra asks you to choose and none of the options fit, the chat input stays open so you can reply in your own words instead of only picking from the list.
      3. **The Review card shows the current result** — editing an already-finished Review from chat no longer leaves its card displaying the previous run's compliance result.
  11. **The Otto Schmidt Medienrecht module can be selected.** Accounts whose Otto Schmidt subscription includes **Beratermodul Medienrecht** could not pick it in the module selector — Libra dropped the module without saying so. It now appears and its content is searchable. [Otto Schmidt](/en/integrations/germany/otto-schmidt).
  12. **The Kleos announcement no longer opens at every login.** Italian teams were shown the Kleos and One FISCALE launch announcement as a full-screen window on each page load until they dismissed it. It now waits under the notification bell's **Updates** tab, where you can open it when you want it. [Kleos](/en/integrations/kleos).

  **Polish.**

  13. **A new icon for New chat** — the action now carries a chat bubble with a plus instead of a plain plus, in the main chat and the floating chat panel.
</Update>

<Update label="Release: 31 July 2026">
  **Fixed.**

  1. **Connecting SharePoint works — and says why when it doesn't.** Clicking **Connect** on SharePoint, in **Settings → Integrations** or in a file picker, often did nothing visible before a generic failure message. The sign-in window now opens reliably, closing it counts as a cancellation rather than an error, and the failures you can act on say what they are: a blocked pop-up asks you to allow pop-ups, and a missing Azure admin consent shows the **Grant admin consent** panel. [SharePoint](/en/integrations/sharepoint).
  2. **The Review position count reads literally again.** **Met** counts the rules whose condition was met, for every kind of position and with no inversion — so a *not acceptable* position with none of its forbidden clauses present reads **0/2 Met**, in line with its red risk badge, instead of a green-looking **2/2**. The separate **Not applicable** tally and the per-rule **Met** and **Not met** badges are unchanged. [Understanding Review results](/en/features/review/results).
</Update>

<Update label="Release: 30 July 2026">
  **New.**

  1. **Two new models: Claude Opus 5 and GPT-5.6.** The latest Claude and GPT models are now available in Libra. Most work runs best on the built-in [chat modes](/en/features/chat/modes) — Standard, Deep Thinking and Fast — but you can now also pick a specific model from the mode menu's **Show all** list.
  2. **Italian legal research: One LEGALE and One PENALE.** Firms with a Wolters Kluwer Italy subscription can now use the **One LEGALE** database — including its civil and **Penale** modules — as a research source in any chat. [One LEGALE](/en/integrations/italy/one-legale).

  **Improved.**

  3. **More you can do with Reviews and Playbooks straight from chat.** The [Review-from-chat](/en/features/review/from-chat) flow gained three conveniences.
     1. **Preview before you commit** — the Start Review picker now gives each Playbook a **Preview** button that opens it read-only, so you can check what a Playbook contains before you choose it, and a finished Review card gains **Open preview** to read the result in a read-only view without leaving the conversation.
     2. **Edit several topics in one go** — ask Libra to rename, add or remove several Review or Playbook topics in a single message — *"rename topics 2, 5 and 7"* — and it applies them together, instead of one topic per message.
     3. **The Playbook picker waits for you** — the picker you choose from when starting a Review now survives a page reload, no longer times out while you decide, and can be dismissed if you change your mind.
  4. **Word and PDF exports keep your diagrams.** Diagrams in a chat answer — flowcharts and the like — now appear in the downloaded Word or PDF document instead of being dropped. [Citations & sources](/en/features/chat/citations).
  5. **A clearer Review position header.** Each Position now shows a **Met** count alongside a separate **Not applicable** tally, so the figures always add up. [Understanding Review results](/en/features/review/results).
  6. **Dismiss the research-sources notice.** The notice shown under a chat answer now has a *Don't show again* link; dismiss it once and it stays hidden across every device you sign in from. [Research mode](/en/features/chat/research-mode).
  7. **Confirm before deleting a chat message.** You're now asked to confirm before removing a message from a chat, so a single stray click can't delete a prompt and its response. [Chat basics](/en/features/chat/basics).

  **Fixed.**

  8. **Research sources you pick straight away now register.** The source picker stays disabled until your saved preferences have loaded, so a source you toggle the instant a chat opens — or just after switching project — is no longer silently dropped. [Research mode](/en/features/chat/research-mode).
</Update>

<Update label="Release: 24 July 2026">
  **New.**

  1. **Build a Review playbook — and start a Review — straight from chat.** Describe the review you need in a chat and Libra turns it into a reusable **Playbook**; attach a contract and start the Review without leaving the conversation. [Reviews from chat](/en/features/review/from-chat).
     1. **Author a playbook by describing it** — open the **Playbook** tool in the chat composer, describe the positions you care about (or attach an example checklist), and Libra drafts a structured Playbook with topics, positions and rules that you can save and reuse.
     2. **Pick the playbook when you start a Review** — starting a Review from chat now shows a list of your matching Playbooks to choose from, instead of Libra picking one for you, and every Review you start this way is saved against a Playbook scoped to your project.
  2. **A redesigned Documents library, with bulk download.** The Documents panel has been rebuilt, and you can now take several items at once. [Your document library](/en/features/documents/library).
     1. **Select and download in bulk** — tick any mix of documents, Reviews and Discoveries and download them together as a single **.zip** that keeps your folder structure; Reviews come out as Word files.
     2. **Choose how Discoveries export** — set whether Discoveries download as Excel, Word or CSV under **Settings → General**.
     3. **A cleaner panel** — two-line rows showing the date and author, a collapsible sort-and-filter row, and a selection footer that tallies what you've picked.

  **Improved.**

  3. **Tables in chat answers are now interactive.** Every table in an answer gains a toolbar to read, copy and export it without leaving the chat. [Citations & sources](/en/features/chat/citations).
     1. **Expand to full screen** — open a wide table in a full-screen view and scroll sideways to reach every column.
     2. **Copy what you need** — copy a single cell by hovering over it, or copy the whole table to the clipboard.
     3. **Export in your format** — export the table as **CSV, Excel, Word or PDF**, with or without the citations included.
  4. **Web search on by default in more countries.** Teams in the **Netherlands, Belgium, Czechia and Slovakia** now have web search switched on in Research mode without needing a Wolters Kluwer subscription — joining Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Hungary.

  **Fixed.**

  5. **New custom assistants save cleanly.** Creating a custom [assistant](/en/features/assistants/custom) no longer shows two false warnings — the **Unsaved changes** dialog no longer appears after a successful save, and the **Fill required fields** badge on a language now appears only if you try to save with a field still empty, not the moment you open the editor.
  6. **Search shows titles in your language.** In [global search](/en/features/search), multilingual templates and assistants now show their title in your interface language rather than an arbitrary one, and that title carries through to the delete, archive and share dialogs. You can also find an assistant by typing a title in any of its languages.
  7. **Discovery warns before discarding column edits.** Editing a column's label, prompt or answer type in a Discovery template and then closing the editor now asks you to confirm before your changes are lost.
</Update>

<Update label="Release: 17 July 2026">
  **New.**

  1. **Move a chat to another project.** A conversation started in the wrong place no longer has to stay there — move it from the **Chat actions** menu at the top of an open chat, or from a chat's **⋯** menu in [Search](/en/features/search). [Chat history](/en/features/chat/history).
     1. **Create the destination on the spot** — the move list ends with a **New project** shortcut, so you can set up a fresh project without leaving the chat.
     2. **Projects at a glance** — every project in the move list shows its own coloured icon, matching your project list on [Home](/en/features/home).
     3. **Sharing starts fresh** — a moved chat arrives in the destination project with its sharing reset; share it again from there if colleagues need it.

  **Improved.**

  2. **Review now tells you when a rule can't be judged.** A rule the document simply doesn't address shows a grey **Not applicable** badge instead of counting as **Not met**. [Understanding Review results](/en/features/review/results).
     1. **Fairer match counts** — not-applicable rules are left out of a position's match count and the compliance figure, so a contract is no longer marked down for rules that don't concern it.
     2. **Topics with nothing to judge** — a Topic where none of its rules could be assessed shows **Not found** rather than a risk level it can't support.
     3. **Completed Reviews are untouched** — results you have already produced keep their existing outcomes.
  3. **Clearer subscription information on Wolters Kluwer research sources.** Applies to [Wolters Kluwer Online](/en/integrations/germany/wolters-kluwer-online) (Germany), [Legal Intelligence](/en/integrations/netherlands/legal-intelligence) and [InView Tax](/en/integrations/netherlands/inview-tax) (Netherlands), and [InView Legal](/en/integrations/belgium/inview-legal) (Belgium).
     1. **Know what you're getting** — the connect menu now explains what the free trial or a subscription includes, and hovering over a connected source shows your current trial or subscription status.
     2. **No more silent empty answers** — an answer that draws on none of the Wolters Kluwer content you selected now says so, with a pointer to your subscription options.
  4. **Your starter project speaks your language.** The project Libra creates for a new account is now called *My first project*, and both its name and description appear in the language chosen during onboarding rather than defaulting to English. Existing accounts keep their current project name.

  **Fixed.**

  5. **Templates fall back to a sensible language.** A template, playbook, or assistant with no version in your interface language now falls back to the closest variant of your language first and then to English, instead of an arbitrary language. Assistant names in breadcrumbs and workflow-step names in chat now also match the language you are viewing.
  6. **Web Search with any Dutch or Belgian research plan.** The **Web Search** option in the research picker now appears for Netherlands and Belgium teams with any connected Wolters Kluwer product — not only InView Legal — in the web app and the [Word](/en/integrations/word/chat) and [Outlook](/en/integrations/outlook/setup) add-ins alike.
  7. **Excel, email, and web-page previews render correctly again.** Previewing a recently uploaded Excel file could show a page of unreadable characters instead of the spreadsheet. Excel, email (`.eml`), and HTML previews now display properly. [Supported file types](/en/features/documents/file-types).
  8. **Review's Documents tab survives a page refresh.** Opening a Review from a direct link, or refreshing the page, no longer breaks its Documents tab — and a Review whose file has since been removed from the workspace still lists the document under its saved name.
  9. **The @ mention picker stays in view.** In an empty chat, the picker no longer stretches behind the top bar, and the characters you type after **@** remain visible while you narrow the list. [Chat basics](/en/features/chat/basics).
  10. **Guide cards fit smaller screens.** In the [template library](/en/features/templates/about), the **Guides & Support** cards now keep a readable width and wrap onto new rows instead of clipping their text, and the arrow to collapse the section is always visible instead of appearing only on hover.

  **Polish.**

  11. **One LAVORO** is now written in Wolters Kluwer's official styling in the research picker for Italy, matching One LEGALE and One FISCALE.
  12. **Tidier research steps on Wolters Kluwer searches** — the step shown while Libra searches no longer repeats your selected filters after a dash. The filters still apply and still appear with the results.
</Update>

<Update label="Release: 10 July 2026">
  **New.**

  1. **Quote part of an answer and ask a follow-up.** Highlight any passage in a Libra answer and choose **Ask Libra** to carry that exact excerpt into your next question. [Chat basics](/en/features/chat/basics).
     1. **Pinpoint what you mean** — the highlighted text appears as a quote chip above the message box, so Libra answers about the precise sentence you selected instead of guessing from a paraphrase.
     2. **Dismiss or switch freely** — clear the quote with the **✕**, and it never carries over into a different chat.
     3. **The same in Word and Outlook** — select text in an answer in either add-in and choose **Ask Libra** to quote it there too.
  2. **Entscheidsuche, a new Swiss case-law source.** Swiss users can now select **Entscheidsuche** (entscheidsuche.ch) as a research source, alongside FedLex, OpenCaseLaw and Zefix. [Entscheidsuche](/en/integrations/switzerland/entscheidsuche).
     1. **Broad Swiss jurisprudence** — search federal and cantonal decisions published on entscheidsuche.ch and cite them directly in your answer.
     2. **Named by its brand** — the source appears as *Entscheidsuche* across the research picker, the insight panels (web, Word and Outlook) and citation labels, matching the way OpenCaseLaw and Zefix are shown.

  **Improved.**

  1. **Deep research can now draw on Libra's own product documentation.** During a deep-research run, Libra can consult and cite the Libra help documentation alongside your other research sources. [Research mode](/en/features/chat/research-mode).
     1. **Answers about using Libra** — ask a product or how-to question mid-research and Libra can pull the answer from its documentation, with a normal citation.
     2. **Clean, sequential citations** — documentation citations are numbered in sequence with your web and register sources, and no longer carry the third-party *unverified source* note.

  **Fixed.**

  1. **The table download button stays put when you scroll.** On a table wider than the chat, the download button now stays pinned to the top-right instead of scrolling out of view with the table. [Citations & sources](/en/features/chat/citations).
     1. **Export menu no longer clipped** — the Excel, CSV and PDF options open cleanly instead of being cut off by the table's scroll area.
  2. **Swiss OpenCaseLaw searches no longer time out on slow responses.** [OpenCaseLaw](/en/integrations/switzerland/opencaselaw) queries that previously failed or returned nothing when the source was slow now wait long enough to complete.
</Update>

<Update label="Release: 3 July 2026">
  **Improved.**

  1. **See Auto mode and its research sources on view-only Review templates.** The *Auto mode* badge now appears on research-backed Topics even in templates you can only view. [Review Auto Mode](/en/features/review/auto-mode).
     1. **Visible without edit access** — previously the badge showed only on templates you could edit; now a colleague's shared, view-only template also shows which Topics run in Auto mode.
     2. **Source icons per Topic** — each Auto-mode Topic shows icons for the research sources it consults, with a **+N** chip when there are several (only sources you can already access appear).
     3. **Legacy templates fixed** — templates saved before recent research-source renames now render their source icons correctly, instead of silently dropping them.

  **Fixed.**

  1. **Branded Word templates keep their own styling on export.** Exporting a chat to Word with your own branded template now preserves the template's fonts and table layout. [Settings → Templates](/en/resources/account).
     1. **No more forced formatting** — tables in your branded template are no longer overwritten with Times New Roman 12pt and solid black borders, so your letterhead and firm details come through as designed.
     2. **Redesigned upload** — the **Templates** settings tab now has a drag-and-drop upload area and a first-page preview of the template you have uploaded.
     3. **Default template unchanged** — the standard Libra export template looks exactly as before; only your own branded templates are affected.
  2. **Search no longer times out on common terms.** Searching by name for a frequently-used word now returns matches instantly instead of failing. [Search](/en/features/search).
     1. **No more "search took too long"** — a common title such as *arbeitsvertrag* used to hit a timeout and return nothing, even with the Documents filter on; it now resolves immediately.
     2. **Partial and accent-insensitive** — searching *uberweisung* still finds *Überweisung*, and partial-name matches keep working.
  3. **Deleting a Fallback position no longer wipes the wrong one.** In the Review template editor, the trash icon on a Fallback position now removes only that position. [Review templates](/en/features/review/templates).
     1. **Red line stays intact** — previously deleting a Fallback could silently remove your *Not acceptable* position instead, leaving your red line unchanged while a different position vanished.
  4. **Export Thread in Outlook is fully interactive again.** The Outlook export dialog now responds correctly to every click while an email thread is saved to a project. [Outlook add-in](/en/integrations/outlook/setup).
     1. **Clicks land where you point** — buttons, the file-name pencil, and the attachments toggle now register on the control you actually see.
     2. **File-name editing** — the pencil toggles edit mode cleanly, and a second click exits it.
     3. **Steady export button** — the **Export thread** button shows a spinner instead of flickering mid-save.
</Update>

<Update label="Release: 26 June 2026">
  **New.**

  * **Choose how citations appear when you copy or export**: when you copy or export a chat answer, you can now choose whether sources come through as **none**, **inline**, or **footnotes**. The choice is applied consistently across the copy menu, the export dropdown, per-table downloads, the text-selection popover, Ctrl + C, and the Word and Outlook add-ins. Inline citations export as clickable links and footnotes as native Word footnotes, with a bibliography appended in PDF. [Citations & sources](/en/features/chat/citations).

  **Improved.**

  * **Smarter project search**: attach a whole project to a chat — now including projects with **more than 1,000 documents** — and Libra searches across it on demand, following your **folder structure**, instead of loading everything into context up front. Large matters stay fast and accurate, and an answer can now cite a specific **folder** or a **whole document**, not just a page. [Projects](/en/features/projects).
  * **Favourite your chats, and filter to what matters**: star a chat from its menu to mark it a favourite — the star is yours alone, follows you across devices, and survives archiving. A new **Favourites only** filter in [global search](/en/features/search) narrows results to your starred chats and templates, and the [Home](/en/features/home) project list gains **practice area** and **tag** filters. The chat **Clone** action is now called **Duplicate**.
  * **Faster, steadier Kleos file picker**: browsing your [Kleos](/en/integrations/kleos) matters is quicker — cases and folder trees you have already opened reappear instantly while Libra refreshes them in the background, and the stuck spinner, the stray *Load more* button, and the lost scroll position when stepping back into a case are all fixed.
</Update>

<Update label="Release: 19 June 2026">
  **New.**

  * **Assign templates and playbooks to a colleague**: administrators can now copy a **Discovery** template or a **Review** playbook straight to a specific user by email — the same way Assistants already worked. [Starring & sharing](/en/features/templates/starring-and-sharing).

  **Fixed.**

  * **Workflow cards in chat**: the step count and the per-step Assistant avatars are back on Workflow cards in the chat **Workflows** panel.
  * **Workflow dates**: Workflows now show their real created and updated date in the [template library](/en/features/templates/about), instead of *01.01.1970*.
  * **Outlook feedback prompt**: the periodic feedback dialog in the [Outlook add-in](/en/integrations/outlook/setup) can now be closed with the **✕**, **Esc**, or a click outside, and no longer covers the task-pane controls.
  * **Word add-in rewrites**: rewritten text no longer occasionally shows a stray *a0* before a word. [Word Chat](/en/integrations/word/chat).
  * **Document translation**: translating a document from the preview works again, instead of showing an *"Error loading PDF"* message. [File types](/en/features/documents/file-types).
  * **Oversized images**: attaching an image larger than 32 MB now shows a clear message instead of silently bloating the chat — in the web app and both add-ins.
  * **Subscription page**: for teams whose plan is ending soon, the [subscription page](/en/resources/subscription) no longer renders blank — admins keep full billing controls, with an *Ending soon* notice.
  * **Template icon in search**: templates now have their own icon in [global search](/en/features/search), distinct from Discoveries and Reviews.
  * **Localised Review preview**: for non-English interfaces, the playbook preview and the *optional* badge now follow your interface language instead of staying in English.
</Update>

<Update label="Release: 12 June 2026">
  **New.**

  * **Organise everything with tags and practice areas**: practice areas and tags are now first-class labels on projects and chats, not just templates. Filter the [template library](/en/features/templates/practice-areas-and-tags) and [global search](/en/features/search) by practice area, tag, author and owner — **Yours**, **Team** or **Libra** — and scan the new **Practice Area** and **Tags** columns in your project and library lists. Deleting a tag now shows how many items it affects before you confirm.

  **Improved.**

  * **German statutes and case law by default**: for German customers, when you ask a question without selecting a research source, Libra now draws German statutes and case law from **Wolters Kluwer Online** by default instead of Otto Schmidt. The setting is renamed **Enable Statutes & Case Law for Libra AI** and is on by default; Otto Schmidt remains available as a manual research source. [Wolters Kluwer Online](/en/integrations/germany/wolters-kluwer-online).
  * **Research parity in the Word and Outlook add-ins**: the add-ins now offer the same research sources as the web app, show trial-activated sources as connected, and warn you when a source's daily research limit is reached — the same feedback wherever you work. [Word add-in](/en/integrations/word/chat).
  * **Outlook chat follows the email you are reading**: switching to a different email in Outlook now moves the chat panel to that email's conversation, instead of leaving you on the first one you opened. [Email Chat](/en/integrations/outlook/summarize).

  **Fixed.**

  * **Citations stay put in tables**: citation popovers are no longer clipped when a citation sits inside a table, and stray leftover popovers and stale highlights no longer linger after you move on. [Citations & sources](/en/features/chat/citations).
  * **Discovery language dropdown**: the language menu in the Discovery template window now opens above the dialog instead of being hidden behind it. [Discovery templates](/en/features/discovery/templates).
</Update>

<Update label="Release: 5 June 2026">
  **New.**

  * **Export a Review to Word**: finished Playbook Reviews now have an **Export** button that produces a Word document mirroring the review, with every topic, its compliance verdict, the rationale, and a Rule / Deviation / Rationale table per position. [Review results](/en/features/review/results).
  * **Redraft every flagged clause at once**: in the Word add-in's Playbook Review, a new **Redraft all non-compliant topics** action drafts suggested wording for every flagged topic in one go, instead of redrafting them one at a time. You can stage the drafts for review, or redraft and apply them to the document in a single confirmed step. [Word Review](/en/integrations/word/review).
  * **Kleos in Italy**: the Kleos integration is now available to Italian teams alongside Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. Connect once from **Settings → Integrations**, then copy matter files into a project from the Documents panel. [Kleos](/en/integrations/kleos).

  **Improved.**

  * **German statutes and case law now included**: for German customers, statutes and case law from Wolters Kluwer Online are now part of your licence and appear in the research picker without any extra setup. The checkout page spells this out, separating what's included from the additional curated sources that are licensed separately.
  * **Error messages in your own language**: backend error messages now follow your interface language across chat and the Word and Outlook add-ins, instead of occasionally surfacing a stray phrase in another language.
  * **Tidier notifications**: when a shared project or item is deleted or your access changes, the matching notification stays in your inbox as history with a *"Removed"* tag rather than leading you to a dead page, and re-granted access produces a fresh, unread notice.
  * **Clearer Home sorting**: the project sort on [Home](/en/features/home) is now labelled **Last edited**, and the redundant *Last updated* option has been removed, so the menu reads **Last edited / Name / Date created**.

  **Fixed.**

  * **Assistant research sources in the add-ins**: choosing an Assistant configured with specific research sources now applies those sources in the Word and Outlook add-ins, matching the web app, instead of silently keeping your previous selection.
  * **No more narration in answers**: planning asides such as *"Let me search the Belgian sources…"* no longer leak into the saved answer, and headings no longer run on without a line break.
  * **Research dropdowns in Assistant windows**: jurisdiction and source pickers opened inside an Assistant window are no longer hidden behind it.

  **Polish.**

  * **Document Comparison naming**: the Word add-in now uses the name *Document Comparison* consistently across its header, history and onboarding, and each comparison is saved under the document's filename instead of a generic *Review #N*.
</Update>

<Update label="Release: 29 May 2026">
  **Fixed.**

  * **Outlook emails with large attachments**: chatting about an email that carried sizeable attachments could fail outright because the message exceeded the model's limits; Libra now condenses long attachments around your question, so these chats run through reliably. [Email Chat](/en/integrations/outlook/summarize).
  * **EU Case Law documents load reliably**: opening certain EUR-Lex documents, including older CJEU judgments and non-English versions, sometimes returned *"Failed to load"* or a misleading *"EUR-Lex is currently down"*; Libra now fetches the full document text in these cases. [EU Case Law](/en/integrations/european-union/eu-case-law).
  * **Citation links in exports**: clicking a source link in a chat export's bibliography no longer replaces the export in the same tab; links now open in a new tab so your export stays open.

  **Polish.**

  * **Tidier citations in italic passages**: citation labels rendered inside italicised text no longer slant, so they stay easy to scan. [Citations & sources](/en/features/chat/citations).
</Update>

<Update label="Release: 22 May 2026">
  **New.**

  * **Kleos for everyone**: the Kleos integration is now switched on for all users in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, no waiting list. Connect once from **Settings → Integrations**, then copy matter files into a project from the Documents panel. [Kleos](/en/integrations/kleos).
  * **Edit a Discovery from chat**: ask Libra to rename a column, change its question, or switch its answer type directly in the conversation, and the matrix updates in place, no need to open the Discovery editor. *"Rename column 2 to 'Renewal date' and have it answer in dates."* [Discovery from chat](/en/features/discovery/from-chat).

  **Improved.**

  * **One LEGALE Penale on trial**: Italian trial users now see One LEGALE Penale in the research picker alongside Civile, and can switch it on from the same free-trial prompt. [One LEGALE](/en/integrations/italy/one-legale).
  * **Tidier template editing**: your language filter is now remembered per tab in the [template library](/en/features/templates/about), running or duplicating an Assistant keeps you on the language you were editing, and the editor headers, discard prompts and language controls behave consistently across Assistants, Discoveries, Review templates and Workflows.
  * **Cleaner Cited Sources panel**: Discoveries and Reviews you attach for context but Libra never actually quotes no longer clutter the [Cited Sources panel](/en/features/chat/citations) or the activity list.

  **Fixed.**

  * **Deep research finishes long sessions**: research conversations that ran many steps could stop partway with a misleading *"Deep thinking could not be completed"* message; long multi-step research now completes reliably and any genuine error is shown in your own language.
  * **Document order in Discovery**: adding several documents to a Discovery from the Documents panel now keeps them in the order you see them in the file tree.
  * **Discovery exports**: exporting a Discovery to Excel or CSV works reliably again, including for very large matrices.
  * **Word add-in Review language**: starting a Playbook Review from the Word add-in now uses the template version that matches your interface language, instead of occasionally showing another language's version. [Word Review](/en/integrations/word/review).
</Update>

<Update label="Release: 15 May 2026">
  **New.**

  * **Chat alongside a Review**: the Review run page now has the same floating chat bubble you already get on a Discovery. Open a finished Review and ask Libra to re-run a Topic or rename the Review, and the page updates in place while you watch, no manual refresh. [Reviews from chat](/en/features/review/from-chat).

  **Improved.**

  * **Newly connected research sources switch on straight away**: after you connect a Wolters Kluwer jurisdiction, its sources now appear in the research picker and turn on for that conversation without a page refresh.
  * **"Review" everywhere in the Word add-in**: the add-in's Playbook Review is now simply called **Review**, matching the rest of the app. [Word Review](/en/integrations/word/review).

  **Fixed.**

  * **Attached documents are no longer silently ignored**: when a colleague who didn't own a project uploaded a document there, asking Libra about it could quietly return nothing; those attachments are now read reliably in chat.
  * **EU Case Law citations show up inline**: references to EUR-Lex judgments now render as numbered citation chips in the answer, with a working hover preview, instead of being dropped or left blank.
  * **Tidier citation titles**: source titles that contained an ampersand no longer show the literal *"&"* in citation chips, tooltips and the Cited Sources panel. [Citations & sources](/en/features/chat/citations).
  * **Team invitations handle mixed-case addresses**: inviting someone whose email differs only in capitalisation now correctly recognises the existing account, and you're told upfront if the person is already on another paid plan rather than after a dead-end click.
  * **Signing out of the add-ins on a Mac**: signing out of the Word and Outlook add-ins on Mac desktop now works instead of dropping you straight back in.

  **Polish.**

  * **Discoveries are capped at 50 columns**: very wide Discoveries now stop at 50 columns, with a clear message telling you to remove a column before adding another. [Create a Discovery](/en/features/discovery/create-discovery).

<Update label="May 5, 2026: Spring Release 2026">
  A more powerful, better integrated, and better organised Libra. Four chapters of changes:

  **Better organised work.**

  * **Sidebar split** into a Global section (Search, Home, Templates) and a Project section (Chat, Discovery, Review, Documents). [How Libra is organised](/en/getting-started/how-libra-is-organised).
  * **Global Search**: press <kbd>Cmd</kbd>+<kbd>K</kbd> from anywhere to find anything across every project: chats, documents, Reviews, Discoveries, Assistants, Workflows, Templates. With "Ask Libra" fallback. [Search](/en/features/search).
  * **Global Home Page**: every project you have access to, with metadata, search, sort, star, and inline edit/share/archive/delete. [Home](/en/features/home).
  * **Template library**: Assistants, Workflows, Review templates, Discovery templates all in one place. Server-backed starring (replaces local pinning). Practice areas + custom tags. Full-screen editor. [Templates](/en/features/templates/about).
  * **Reviews and Discoveries become documents**: completed Reviews and Discoveries appear in the Documents panel and can be organised into folders alongside PDFs and other files. [Folder structure](/en/features/documents/folder-structure).

  **More powerful Contract Review.**

  * **New Review template structure**: Topic → Position (Acceptable / Fallback / Not acceptable) → Rule, with optional Ideal Language for each Position. [Review templates](/en/features/review/templates).
  * **Auto Mode**: turn a Topic into a research-driven question instead of a rule check. *"Does this clause hold up under current case law?"* [Auto Mode](/en/features/review/auto-mode).
  * **Edit Review results on the fly**: override rule outcomes directly on a finished Review.
  * **Word add-in Review**: the Word add-in's Review feature now mirrors the web app's structure and works with the same templates. The previous Word "Review" feature has been renamed **Document Comparison**.

  **Integrated Chat.**

  * **Start work from chat**: create a Review or Discovery directly inside a chat. Either explicitly via Tools → Create new, or implicitly when Libra detects the intent. [Starting work from Chat](/en/features/chat/starting-work).
  * **Discoveries and Reviews in chat**: attach as context with `@`-mention. Libra cites specific Topics, columns, rows, or cells. [Reviews from chat](/en/features/review/from-chat) / [Discovery from chat](/en/features/discovery/from-chat).

  **Fresh look & small improvements.**

  * **UI overhaul**: entire app redesigned for consistency.
  * **Refined chat input**: Tools dropdown groups Assistants, Workflows, Add context, and Create new. [Chat basics](/en/features/chat/basics).

  * **`@`-mention picker** works anywhere in the prompt, supporting Assistants, Workflows, Documents, Reviews, Discoveries.

  * **Fedlex**: Switzerland's official Federal Law collection. [FedLex](/en/integrations/switzerland/fedlex).
  * **Open Case Law**: open-access case-law database. [OpenCaseLaw](/en/integrations/switzerland/opencaselaw).

  **Removed.**

  * **Entscheidsuche** is no longer a research source.
  * **OnlineKommentar** has been removed.

  **Multi-format document viewer.**

  * Images (PNG, JPG, TIFF, GIF, WebP, SVG, BMP), email files (`.eml` / `.msg`), text files (`.txt`, `.csv`, `.xml`, `.json`, `.md`, `.log`), and HTML now have native previews, alongside PDFs and Word documents. [File types & previews](/en/features/documents/file-types).

  **Outlook add-in.**

  * New **Export thread to project** action: push an email thread (with attachments) into a project as a `.txt` that's auto-converted to PDF and indexed.

  **AI models.**

  * **New flagship model** added to the model selector.
  * **Deep Thinking mode** now uses a more powerful model.
