Settings lets you personalize AI responses, control chat history, manage your profile and security, upload export templates, and connect external services.

Click Settings in the sidebar

General

The General tab lets you personalize how Libra responds to you. General settings tab
Provide context about yourself, such as your role or practice area. Example: “I am a business lawyer specializing in intellectual property law and copyright law. I speak German and English.”
Describe your preferred response style. Example: “I want formal, detailed and very well structured legal responses.”
Click Save to apply your changes.

Chats

The Chats tab controls how your conversations are stored and which research sources Libra uses automatically. Chats settings tab
When enabled, chats are saved in your workspace and can be reused. When disabled, chats are temporary and not saved.
Controls whether chat traces are shared with Libra for debugging. Keep tracing enabled for best support unless you’re entering sensitive information.
When enabled, shows the AI model selector in chats.
Automatically uses Otto Schmidt legal research when using Libra AI, especially for court decisions.
Automatically uses Wolters Kluwer legal research when using Libra AI.
You can also Archive All Chats or Delete All Chats from this tab.

Account

The Account tab manages your profile information and security settings. Account settings tab
  • Profile Image — Choose between your initials, a Gravatar image, or remove the image entirely
  • Name — Your first and last name, displayed in shared content and team communications
  • Email — Your login email address (read-only)
  • Language — Your preferred interface language
To change your password:
  1. Click Send Reset Email
  2. Check your email for the password reset link
  3. Follow the instructions to create a new password
Add an extra layer of security by enabling MFA:
  1. Click Enable MFA
  2. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy)
  3. Enter the 6-digit code from your app to confirm
Save your recovery codes in a secure place. You will need them if you lose access to your authenticator app.
Generate API keys to access Libra programmatically. Click Create new secret key to generate a key.API keys grant full access to your account. Do not share them with anyone.

Templates

Upload a Word template for document exports. Your template can include these placeholders: Templates settings tab
  • {{ text }} — Replaced with the exported content
  • {{ datum }} — Replaced with the current date
If you do not include these tags, all content in the template will be replaced.

Connect external services to enhance your Libra experience. Available integrations include: Integrations settings tab

  • SharePoint & OneDrive — Access Microsoft 365 files
  • Wolters Kluwer Online — German legal research
  • InView Legal (NL) — Dutch legal research
  • InView Legal (BE) — Belgian legal research
