Your Libra Assistants are available directly in the Word Add-in. Each Assistant has access to your current document, selected text, and its configured knowledge, enabling focused and informed responses.

Select an Assistant

Open the assistant selector

In the Chat tab, click the Libra AI dropdown at the top of the panel.Assistant selector dropdown showing list of available Assistants

Search or browse

Use the search field to find Assistants by name, or scroll through your list. You see both personal and shared Assistants.

Select an Assistant

Click an Assistant to activate it. The chat now uses that Assistant’s instructions and knowledge.
Your Assistants from the Libra web app appear here automatically, including Assistants shared with your team.

Select Assistant Language

Some Assistants are available in multiple languages. When an Assistant supports multiple languages, you can choose which language version to use. Language selector showing DE, EN, and PL options for an Assistant Click the language tag next to an Assistant (DE, EN, PL, etc.) to see available languages and select your preferred one. The Assistant will then respond in that language.

Pin Favorites

Keep your most-used Assistants at the top of the list. Pin to top tooltip appearing when hovering over an Assistant Hover over any Assistant and click the pin icon to move it to the top. Pinned Assistants stay at the top regardless of filtering or searching.

Working with Assistants

Select text before chatting with your Assistant. The Assistant focuses its analysis on exactly what you have highlighted.
Assistants with attached playbooks or knowledge documents are particularly effective in Word:
  • The Assistant compares your document against its configured standards
  • Responses reference both your document and the Assistant’s knowledge
  • You get consistent analysis based on your firm’s guidelines

Tips for Using Assistants

Use a contract review Assistant when reviewing contracts. Use a drafting Assistant when creating new text. The right Assistant produces better results.
Highlight specific sections before asking questions. The Assistant analyzes exactly what you’ve selected.
Build Assistants for document types you work with frequently. Upload your playbook once, then use the Assistant whenever you review similar contracts.

Create New Assistants

Create and configure Assistants in the Libra web app. Assistants you create there automatically become available in Word.
