Name the code and article when you have them. “Wat bepaalt art. 5:97 WVV?” points the search at one provision instead of spreading it across the whole companies code.
What it covers
This is the general-purpose Belgian source, covering civil, commercial, labour, criminal, administrative and constitutional law — burgerlijk recht, handelsrecht, vennootschapsrecht (WVV), sociaal recht / droit social, strafrecht and publiek recht.
For Belgian tax questions, reach for monKEY instead — Wolters Kluwer’s Belgian knowledge base for accountants and tax professionals, a separate subscription with its own connection. With both connected, Libra treats monKEY as the Belgian tax specialist and InView Legal as the general legal source. See Setting up integrations.
One source, one connection
Wolters Kluwer sells the Belgian platform under two product licences, a Dutch-language one and a French-language one. Libra does not mirror that split: there is a single InView Legal (BE) row in the Research picker, backed by one connection, and there is no per-language toggle to set. What that one source returns follows your firm’s subscription: the connection carries your entitlements, so Libra searches the content you are subscribed to. See Setting up integrations for how that shows up in the picker and in Settings → Integrations. Prompt language doesn’t select a corpus either. There is one Belgian index behind the source, holding both Dutch- and French-language material, and Libra searches it the same way whichever language you write your question in.Jura → InView Legal: Existing Jura customers transition to InView Legal via their Wolters Kluwer Belgium account manager. Once migrated, the Libra connection works the same way.
What you can ask
- “Quelle est la jurisprudence de la Cour de cassation sur la clause de non-concurrence dans un contrat de travail?”
- “Geef het commentaar van de WVV-bepalingen over bestuurdersaansprakelijkheid met recente rechtsleer.”
- “What does Belgian case law say about non-compete clauses for executives?”
- “Find commentary on the new Belgian companies and associations code.”
Setup
Connect InView Legal from Settings → Integrations, signing in with the credentials your firm uses for the subscription. Two rows in that list are called InView Legal — take the one described as Belgian legal research; the other is the Dutch platform. Setting up integrations walks through the flow and explains what a connection gives you.Tips
